Woodburning, also known as pyrography, is the process of using heat to burn designs into wood. Self-taught, Laura uses a metal tipped tool called a Colwood that can heat to over 1000 degrees and burns the design in by hand. Each woodburn starts as an original sketch on the wood first. No tracing, no stencil, and no lasers used.
